Samsung Launches Gear Fit2, Gear IconX and Samsung Gear VR in India

Besides launching the Galaxy Note7 flagship phablet in India, Samsung also launched its wearables including the new Gear VR headset, the IconX wireless earphones, and Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker for India at the same event.

samsung-gear-vrSamsung Gear VR is designed to work with the Galaxy Note 7, this new Gear VR has USB Type C support. A microUSB connector is also available With this Gear VR that make it compatible with Galaxy S7,Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge+. The new Gear VR has been upgraded and offers a more extensive field of perspective of 101 degrees and also a new touchpad. Gear VR propelled in a Blue and Black shading variation, it weighs 345 grams and measures 207.8×122.5×98.6mm. The Gear VR will be available for Rs. 7,290 when it goes on sale from the first week of September 2016.

Samsung Gear IconX


samsung-gear-icon-xGear IconX may be the lesser known of the other Gear devices launching today. Samsung’s Gear IconX are truly wireless earbuds that means there are no wires between the smartphone or between the right and left buds. The IconX earbuds associate over Bluetooth 4.1 and have inward capacity of up to 4 GB for storing songs. It can also track heart rate, steps, distance, calories, and more. The internal battery on the earbuds is of 47mAh and as per the company claims can last 90 minutes. The new Gear IconX comes in three unique sizes of ear tips and wingtips. The IconX wireless earphones have been valued at Rs. 13,490, and will be accessible from the end of August in India.

Samsung Gear Fit2



As the name suggests, it is the successor to the Gear Fit which was launched in 2014. The Samsung Gear Fit 2 accompanies a few upgrades over Gear Fit and now highlights an installed GPS sensor and also a heart rate monitor. It highlights a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED display with 216×432 pixels resolution, and is controlled by a 1GHz dual core processor combined with512MB of RAM. Additionally it has 4GB build in storage and a 200 mAh battery that can last up to three to four days. This band is fit for following different movements like running, strolling, cycling and more. It is also IP68 certified, which makes it resistant to water and dust. Gear Fit 2 will also be available from the end of August in India at a price of Rs. 13,990
