Samsung Galaxy A30 Price, Specifications & Review

Samsung has recently launched its new mid-range smartphones- Galaxy A30 and A50. The Galaxy A30 being the smaller version comes with a smaller set of features like rear-fingerprint sensor, Exynos 7904 instead of A50’s in-display fingerprint sensor and Exynos 9610.

With 6.4 inches Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, Exynos7904 SoC, and 4000mAh battery, this device comes with a really nice set of features in this price tag. But, is it enough to compete with other mid-range devices? Let’s check it out in the Samsung Galaxy A30 review below:

Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy A30 is a really good looking device – thanks to the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen on the front. On the back panel, you see a glossy polycarbonate finish where you can see a dual-camera setup, a fingerprint sensor, and Samsung branding below. The 3D-Arc design makes this device feel comfortable and grippy in hands. Choose to place the order for Samsung Galaxy A30 with available Flipkart Sales offer to find attractive prices.

At the right, you can see power and volume buttons which can be reached easily while at the left, the dual-SIM tray with its dedicated microSD card slot. On the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphones socket, and a speaker grille.

Coming to the display, the Samsung Galaxy A30 packs a 16.21cm (6.4″) FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with 1080 x 2340-pixel resolution. The company has brought new displays in its new 2019 devices. The Infinity-U Display gives A30 a 91.6 percent screen-to-body ratio which makes the screen look pretty big. The display of this device is excellent and colors come out bright and clear.

Performance

Under the hood, Galaxy A30 has an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7904 SoC which is a downgrade to the Exynos 9610 in Samsung Galaxy A50. The chipset is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. The other variant comes in 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card. The performance of the device is really smooth and sound as you will know lags or hiccups during multitasking. In the gaming sessions too, one can play games like PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends at medium graphics renders with ease.

The rear fingerprint sensor is really fast and can be reached easily. The sound quality isn’t very clear but the mono speaker is pretty loud.

Cameras and Battery Life

Coming to the camera, the dual rear camera includes a primary 16MP lens plus 5MP secondary lens dual rear camera with f1.7 wide angle and f2.2 flash. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera. The rear camera comes with nice and sound images with nice detailing and aesthetics. Under the low light, the camera went down a tad bit with a little bit of noise. But, overall the cameras got a thumbs up.

The Samsung Galaxy A30 houses huge capacity 4,000mAh lithium-ion battery with Type-C fast charging. The battery can give you a day and a half at ease. Moreover, the device also supports 15W Fast Charging which is a really nice feature in this mid-range price tag. Other Features

The Samsung Galaxy A30 runs Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s new One UI. Being the new UI, the new One UI is pretty nice and clean than its predecessor UI. You can also see this UI comes in the latest Samsung flagships- Galaxy S10 series. Google’s Digital Wellbeing is also featured in this device- thanks to the new Android 9 Pie. The sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor while the connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. In the box, you get earphones, Travel Adapter, USB Cable, Ejection Pin, and User Manual.

Samsung Galaxy A30 comes in three color variants: Red, Blue, and Black.

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A30 is a really nice device. Comparing to devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and other mid-range devices, this might be a little left out. But, the screen, design, and performance look really smooth and sound. The device lacks in camera quality and gaming performance. So, if you are a Samsung fan and want something nice in this range, Samsung Galaxy A30 can be your one choice.
