Specifications at a glance-
Infinix Note 4 Review- Display
Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS Sharp display (as against standard 5.5-inches) with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 386ppi pixel density. The display is covered with 2.5D curved glass which seems becoming a new trend in the smartphone industry. The display is vivid, sharp and bright enough to offer good colors and decent experience. Overall, this is one of the better displays you can get in this price range.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Design
Infinix Note 4 has a 5.7-inch full HD display below which rests the fingerprint sensor (which also doubles up as a physical home button). On either side of the fingerprint sensor are two capacitive buttons that work as the back and multitasking buttons. Over the display, it has an 8 mega pixel front camera and front camera flash either side, earpiece and sensors.
Infinix has used plastic to its back to give it a glass and metal finish and that does work to an extent. The gloss back panel curves on the edges and reflect light falling at an angle on it. It has a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash which is located just below the camera. Infinix has used a lamination on the back panel which helps it to avoid scratches but you will still be better off using a protective case (It has one bundled in the box too). The back of the phone is removable, though the battery is not. You will find two micro-SIM card slots and a dedicated micro-SD card slot underneath that cover. It has a big display and a big battery.
The bottom of the phone has a micro USB port flanked by speaker grills and 3.5mm audio jack up top. The volume keys and power button are on the right side of the phone. The smartphone is 8.4mm thick and the device weighs 204 grams.
Overall, the Infinix Note 4 looks good and is a well-built phone that shall appeal to anyone who prioritizes a bigger display size and battery life.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Performance & Software
Infinix Note 4 runs on Android Nougat 7.0 straight out-of-the-box and the companies own XOS 2.2 overlaid on it. XOS is light and breezy and includes lots of featured apps. Some include the ability to block numbers for calls and SMS.
XOS has a number of apps pre-installed though. These include Ultra Power, XManager, XAccount, XClub, XHide, and XWeather. While they may provide some utility, depending on your needs, none of them are uninstallable. In other words, bloatware.
The Note 4 is powered by MediaTek 1.3GHz octa-core MT6753 processor. The chipset isn’t built for heavy-duty, but in combination with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the phone can assemble enough power for smooth day-to-day usage. The only dissatisfaction is the older processor because including Snapdragon 450 or 452 or 625 could offer better performance with this much of RAM. This processor is also not bad and offers great performance. Infinix has optimized it well to offer the great experience. Applications open quickly and app switching is also quick.
Gaming on this phone also impresses. I played games like Asphalt 8, Need For Speed No limit, Frontline Commando 2, Modern Combat and NOVA 3. All these games were fine. Yes, this phone also heats while gaming but heating is under control.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Camera
The Infinix Note 4 supports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie camera with customizable flash by which you can customize flash intensity into three modes; Strong, Medium, Weak according to your need. The front camera, softens the image a bit, which makes selfies look good. Based on the price range that Infinix Note 4 is selling in, the rear camera performance is certainly above average.
The other camera features are Auto Focus, Face Detection, Geo-tagging, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, Video Recording, Wide Selfie, Panorama, Beauty mode, PIP, Smile Shot, Gesture Shot.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Connectivity
Infinix Note 4 is packed with 4G with VoLTE and is compatible with Reliance Jio. Other connectivity features are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro USB. The Note 4 is also equipped with an Accelerometer, Geomagnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor and a Fingerprint Sensor.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Battery Life
It packs a 4300mAh battery supported by XPower that stretches the standby time for up to 2 days on normal usage. It is also supported by fast charging technology that can charge the phone to 45 percent in half an hour. What else you need from this phone? There is also a power saving mode. You can enable it to get enhanced battery performance.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Price & Availability
Infinix Note 4 is priced at INR 8,999/- and exclusively available on Flipkart. Infinix note 4 is available in Ice Blue, Champagne Gold, and Milan Black colors.
Infinix Note 4 Review- Verdict
Infinix Note 4 is one of the best budget phones with 3GB RAM which delivers good performance offers a nice camera, sharp display, and long lasting battery along with a good camera. Sure, there is a dedicated microSD card slot if that’s something you are looking for. I will recommend this phone to those who want a great battery performance and experiment with new brands.
