Honor 9i with 4 cameras launched in India at Rs 17,999

Bolstering its product portfolio in the Indian market, Honor, Huawei’s e-brand for digital natives, today unveiled the Honor 9i smartphone. Redefining what premium smartphones are capable of, the new smartphone delivers incredible features and functionality including an intuitive and powerful 4-camera set up; a crisp and vibrant FullView FHD+ display and a sleek, industrial design.

The Honor 9i is quintessentially focused on enhancing the overall smartphone experience for consumers enabling them to explore and discover various exciting new photography aspects. Leveraging in-house premium technology, Honor 9i cameras produce flattering pictures with 45-degrees projection, making every shot a ‘cover shot under butterfly lightning.’ The 13 MP dual-lens front camera incorporates studio-level smart selfie toning flash and delivers remarkable bokeh effect. Honor9i Stunning FullView Display

At the forefront of the recent trend of bigger and brighter display to stream and view content, the Honor 9i incorporates Full View FHD+display. The new smartphone from Honor features a dazzling 5.9” display that delivers an unprecedented viewing experience and contributes to the device’s elegant design, as it effectively retains a 5.5” form factor.

The Honor 9i sits perfectly in one hand, while 18:9 aspect ratio offers a more comfortable split-screen experience for users to effectively multitask, allowing two apps to be run side-by-side to increase productivity.  On the back of the Honor 9i, the flashlight, fingerprint sensor, USB socket and dual-lens camera all lie on the central axis of the phone. On the front, the dual-lens camera sits on the right, a reflection of the camera flash and distance sensor on the left. Achieving this level of near-perfect symmetry is an intelligent and purposeful design achievement.

For exceptional user experience, the Honor 9i is a perfect balance of software and hardware. With an 8-core Kirin 659 chipset under the hood and 4X64 RAM/ROM internal storage, the Honor 9i is capable of seamlessly running multiple tasks efficiently. Huawei’s Android 7-based EMUI 5.1 intelligently optimizes the user experience by learning and predicting user behavior, making it a device that understands its owner and acting on this knowledge to improve performance. The 3340mAh battery delivers power efficiency with talk time up to 20 hours.

Highly optimized combination of Huawei’s proprietary Kirin 659 chipset, EMUI 5.1 and 4GB of RAM + 64GB of ROM delivers outstanding power efficiency and is capable of comfortably running multiple tasks efficiently. Honor 9i’s 3340 mAh battery can easily last up to two days of ordinary use, with talk time up to 20 hours or video play up to 9 hours, which varies according to local networks and user habits. 

Honor 9i also comes with advanced audio capabilities featuring the proprietary Huawei Histen audio system from its 2012 Lab, which uses six algorithms to ensure music and movies sound extraordinary. The Honor 9i will be available starting 14th October exclusively on Flipkart at Rs 17,999/- for 4 x64 RAM /ROM configuration.

At the launch event Honor also unveiled a new addition to their accessories portfolio – a 10,000mAh Quick Charge Power Bank.  Priced at Rs 2399/- this power bank will be available exclusively on Honor Store.
